Overview
Teledental is a startup company based in San Francisco, California. My contract work consisted of 4-5 months duration to execute a smooth workflow/design for an online dental consultation web and mobile app.
Objective and Goal
Make Dental Consultation Accessible
Build a mobile app that enables busy people to have access to an online dental consultation within the comfort of their own home and schedule.
Patient Goal
Busy patients require a quick dental check ups within their own environment that also fits their schedule.
Dentist Goal
Dentists are looking to expand their patient reach and establish an online presence that will give them better credibility.
Overall Goal
The mobile app aim to provide seamless online dental consultation access to both patients and dentist that will ensure patients a proper solution to their dental problems from qualified dentists.

Systems and Desiign Inspiration
​Teledental will require an intensive and organized profile setting that the users can sort through. Patients are able to edit any information within their profile while dentists are more limited due to the onboarding process and license verification.

GOOGLE MAPS
The search engine will showcase dentists based on the key words used by the patient. This can be devided into categories such as the dentist name, practice name, city, state, zip code, and preference.​

UBER
Patient will have the ability to request an appointment that can be accepted by a nearby dentist. The match making system is very similar to Uber's customer and driver connection.

Entity relationship database, low fidelity wireframing, and high quality wireframing will be the three stages of the design phase. Repeating these three stages after the prototype evaluation will ensure a satisfying final design.

PURPOSE
Conducting a proper user research helped with reorganizing the existing database that was provided to me. I was able to implement systems that made the workflow smoother for both the users and the developers.

Wireframe & Prototype

Book Appointment
Patients will have the ability to book appointments by filling out a straightforward consultation form.
Search Engine
User is given the option to search specific dentists or locate one within a close range distance. They will aslo be able to filter search based on preferred language.
Onboarding Process
Dentists will have to go under an onboarding process when signing up. The Teledental admin will verify their licenses and personal information.
Scheduling Appointments
A calendar will be available for dentists to view their daily, weekly, and monthly schedule. This allows them to know their upcoming appointments.

Key Takeaways
What I Learned
Redesigning an existing application requires a different approach in order to provide improved solutions for both patients and doctors.
